February 2013 Meeting

Dear Members, Friends and Guests,

The EAST MANATEE REPUBLICAN CLUB met for a luncheon at the Peridia Golf & Country Club, 4950 Peridia Blvd., Bradenton, FL 34203 at 11:30 AM on February 14, 2013.   Our guest speaker was the President & CEO of the Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport (SRQ), Mr. Frederick J. Piccolo.  Many new things have been happening at our wonderful airport and we heard about some of them from Mr. Piccolo.

A reminder for those who have not re-joined - your annual dues are due - $18.00 single and $35.00 a couple. Janet will be prepared to accept your checks. Also make sure you sign up for our tour of Port Manatee -- we can only take 45 and we are well on our way to reaching our limit.  This tour is scheduled for April 10th - it's a Wednesday.  There will be no EMRC meeting that month.  This tour will take the place of our regular luncheon meeting.

The next scheduled meeting will be on March 14, but we would like to have the Port Manatee reservations completed as early as possible. Just to let you know - we had 2 full tables for the Lincoln Day Dinner to represent EMRC - thanks to all who attended. If you have any neighbors and/or friends who might be interested in attending any of our meetings, bring them along.
